You probably have heard of Lombard Street, and if not – you probably have seen it on your TV screen or in the internet! But if you haven’t, well now you know – it’s called the crookedest street in the world due to the fact that it contains eight hairpin turns, which were built to reduce the drastically steep grade of this hill. The speed limit in this street can’t exceed 8 km/h!
Abbey Road

Abbey Road lies in the Northern London and it is one of the most famous streets in the world. It came to fame due to the fact that The Beatles recorded most of their recordings at The Abbey Road Studios, which is located at this very street. In fact, at 1969 The Beatles recorded their last album as a band and named it “Abbey Road.” You’ve probably seen the iconic album cover photo of The Beatles crossing the street, and no surprises here – this is the Abbey Road!
Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood Walk of Fame with Hollywood Boulevard makes up series of embedded stars in sidewalk to celebrate famous people for their contributions for entertainment business. Did you know that anyone, including yourself, can nominate anyone, who is active in the entertainment field (even fictional characters)? It is quite popular destination for tourists, – about 10 million people visited Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003!

There are few who doesn’t recognize Wall Street as home of stock trading in New York, and fewer who haven’t seen Wall Street on TV. Many doesn’t know that Wall Street was named after the actual wall which was built in 17th century by Dutch who named it “de Waal Straat”. Famous street is only about 1.1 km long (or short?) but its famous historical roots makes up for that, doesn’t it?
