To Sua Ocean Trench aka “Big hole” is approximately 30 meters deep amazing water pool in the village of Lotofaga, on the Upolu Island in Samoa. This natural wonder isn’t the only one on the island of Upolu – there are many waterfalls and coastal blowholes, which will take your breath away. This water pool with surrounding beautiful gardens may seem to many people like a small, idyllic paradise on our planet. A very steep ladder is installed for visitors and those who are not afraid to jump from the wooden platform in this hole and enjoy wonderful aquamarine waters. Bimmah Sinkhole, Oman
Bimmah Sinkhole means “Meteor Fall Park” in Arabic, and this stunning sinkhole is located in Hawiyat Najm Park. Perfectly clear turquoise water will make you want to take a dip in this marvellous masterpiece of the nature! This natural pool is 20 m deep and 40 m wide. Whole place looks just amazingly dreamy and it is perfect escape place in hot days! A concrete stairway and handrails are installed there so you don’t have to worry about getting down there or feeling unsafe, while doing that. Bimmah Sinkhole is becoming more popular than before but, comparing to other swimming spots, this would be a great secret escape place!
Blue Lagoon, Iceland
The Blue Lagoon spa is a man-made geothermal lagoon and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Iceland. Six million litres of seawater from approximately 2000 metres beneath the surface of earth with ingredients like minerals, algae and silica is renewed every two days. The water is heated with lava flow from the ground. Average temperature in this unique lagoon is 38°C. Blue Lagoon even has a reputation of helping some people, who are suffering from skin diseases! This is truly wonderful and perfect winter getaway! Everything is very clean there and visitors have to take a shower, before entering the Blue Lagoon. Dean’s Blue Hole, Bahamas
Dean’s Blue Hole, located in Long Island, Bahamas, is the deepest known blue hole – it is 202 metres deep, which is twice as much as the most of the other known blue holes – they usually are 110 metres deep. Diameter of this blue hole ranges from 25 to 35 metres. Many people have died trying to dive too deep in Dean’s Blue Hole, so this is mostly a place for extreme divers and adventure seekers, who are prepared to risk their lives. As it isn’t safe for people who aren’t professional divers, it isn’t a very popular tourist attraction, but if you are a confident diver who wants to take more risks in your life, this might be a right place for you to do that!
